Our team at Neurological Specialists, P.C. look forward to seeing you for your upcoming visit. If you are a new patient, pre-registration forms are available for you to download on our website to streamline your check-in process. A member of our staff will contact you a few days prior to your appointment for confirmation. You may also go to the Patient Portal to pre-register for your appointment. Upon your arrival at the office, we will copy your insurance cards to enter your registration information and bill your insurance company.

Appointments & Cancellations

If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you provide 24 hours notice. Your consideration in this matter will allow us to accommodate other patients who could benefit from an appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment and do not provide 24 hours notice or do not show for your appointment, there is a fee that will be applied. This fee is not reimbursed by insurance carriers.


Major emergencies are seen in the Emergency Room at Bridgeport Hospital. This is so procedures such as blood-work and scans can be done immediately and appropriate emergency care can be provided. The On-Call doctor provides emergency after-hours coverage and can be reached by dialing the main number: 203-377-5988

Prescription Medicine Refills

Prescriptions are only refilled during office hours. Refill requests will not be taken by the answering service.

Patient charts are maintained in Stratford, and access to this information is essential in medication refills.


Call your pharmacy and they will send a request for prescription refill electronically or by fax.

Due to the high volume of prescriptions requests, 72 hours is necessary in order to process requests. Refill requests may require a follow up appointment with your doctor. When requesting a written medication, please provide your name, date of birth, and the name of your prescription. Allow 72 hours to pick it up at the office you are seen at. For mail order requests, call them and have them electronically request the refill, or bring in the required form and allow 72 hours for processing. Monitor your medications carefully so that you won’t run out.

Requesting A Chaperone

Notify us if you would feel more comfortable with a chaperone during your healthcare visit.  Your comfort and dignity are of utmost importance to us, and our empathetic team is committed to meeting your needs. Your selected chaperone will adhere to strict confidentiality, intervening or assisting only when it is essential.


Our practice accepts most major insurance plans and most of the smaller insurance plans. If we do not participate with your insurance and your plan allows out-of-network benefits, our office staff will assist you with the necessary paperwork so you can receive reimbursement directly from your insurance company.

First time appointment reservation fee/no show fee 

Neurological Specialists (NSPC) is implementing a new appointment reservation fee policy starting February 1st, 2022. Moving forward, clients booking a first-time appointment will be charged a 50$ charge to reserve their appointment. When clients show up for their appointment the fee will be applied as credit for a copay or deductible, or if there is no balance, refunded or used for future credit
